I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. I grew up playing sports and lifting weight was always a favorite hobby of mine. As I ventured through my college career, I injured my knee and had to go through quite a lot of physical therapy. It was there became interested in helping people through exercise.
I have been a health club marketing consultant for over 8 years, helping clubs owners grow their business, increase memberships, and generate new profits. I belive that to be successful in the gym business you need to have three things. Location, location, location. But if you don't have an ideal location or an ideal situation, don't fret; because I have a whole lot of ideas ready to help clubs become more successful, even in tough markets.
While we would all like to operate in our own bubble, free from competitors, with the perfect demographic, and a stress free life, unfortunately that just doesn't happen anymore. But that's not to say that you can't be successful. Every gym can be better. I've learned what to do, and more importantly what NOT to do to make a health club more successful. I take a very intense approach to marketing a health club and I'm relentless when it comes to tracking and monitoring sales. I've been with Fitness Marketing Group for three years and I plan to be with them for many more.
